Install guide

Shopify setup

1

Open the Shopify app listing

Go to the Hitsteps Analytics app page in Shopify App Store and start installation.

2

Approve permissions

Review the permissions and approve the app installation for the correct Shopify store.

3

Connect to Hitsteps

Complete the Hitsteps setup flow and select or create the website profile for your store.

4

Verify storefront activity

Visit the storefront and open your Hitsteps dashboard to confirm live visitors are appearing.

Good to know

  • If a Shopify store is later deleted or unreachable, Hitsteps deactivates local Shopify records instead of repeatedly failing.
  • Avoid manually pasting duplicate tracking snippets into Shopify themes when the app is installed.

After install

Why Shopify stores use Hitsteps after install

Store owners can verify live storefront visitors immediately after installation instead of waiting for delayed reports.
Hitsteps combines visitor source, current page, returning history, device, chat context, and behavior signals for customer support and conversion review.
The Shopify app path keeps permissions, billing, uninstall handling, and tracking setup together instead of relying on theme edits.
